Male Pregnancy...What!?

O! What have we done!?

Have we gone too far? Who, in their right mind, would ever conceive such a pervese and unatural thing?!

I've been following this story for quite a while now and to my surprise I could not find a single article that disproves this male pregnancy. On the contrary, I've gone through the entire website, read through all the references, viewed all the pregnancy journals, and googled "male pregnancy" on the web. To my disappointment, all sources check out correct, yes even the CNN reference checks out correct too, unfortunately this pregnancy is legitimate.

According to a recent interview, the sick and perverted volunteer, Mr. Lee, always had the desire to "experience the joys of pregnancy" and encourages all human beings to go through the same experience before they die.

But how is this possible?
Thanks to In Vitro Fertilization and female hormone injections, Mr Lee's body is now carrying an abomination.  For details, check out the following website:

Faces on Mars?

This is a fun post...

Not too long ago, a regular John Doe was browsing through some photographs of Mars that were taken by the rover Spirit. This person happened to have discovered a very interesting rock formation of what appeared to be a sitting man; it made world headlines! The image became known as The Man on Mars. If you look at the official image from NASA, you'll realize that this John Doe person has very sharp eyes (See if you can spot the rock formation ). LINK
A few weeks before that there was another John Doe who had discovered a "doorway" on the surface of mars. LINK

and if you remember way back to 1976, the Viking 1 took a very famous photograph known as The Face on Mars.

These Martian rock formations are fascinating, though the theory behind them are silly, you still have to admire the creativity in people. Well guess what people!? I've discovered two new faces!!! I have not seen these anywhere else so I hope I'm the first one to discover these faces LINK
If you want to see more interesting Martian rock formations, take a look at these interesting links:

What's a Laptop?

This is interesting...

...And a quickie!

In case you didn't know, MacBook Air Owners have been having some difficulties passing through Airport security due to their "suspiciously looking" laptops. According to some reports, the technically challenged staff of TSA believe that the MacBook Air is too thin to be a laptop. When viewed through the X-Ray machine, the Air reveals further naughtiness that peeks the interest of TSA even more! Can you imagine the conversation of having to explain your laptop?

A Bee Story

Here is something interesting, and frightening...

Beekeepers from the US, Canada, and Europe have reported disappearing bees in huge numbers; some beekeepers have even reported a loss of approximately 90% of their hives.

In an average season, a 20% loss is considered normal. This year, beekeepers have been reporting an average loss of about 30 to 60%. Although this is not the first time such an event has occurred, It has never been seen as widespread as we see today.

To add to the mystery, beekeepers find no dead bees near the hives or anywhere on the field, all they find are empty hives... they just vanish!

But why are they disappearing?
Well, nobody knows why the bees are disappearing and scientist have come up with a couple of different theories, but none of them have come up with a definitive answer. One theory that seems to be prevailing is that cell phone radio signals are causing a disruption in bee communications. A limited study at Landau University has scientific evidence showing that when cell phones are placed near a beehive, bees do not return to their colony. To add to the mystery, animals that usually harvest the honey after a hive has been abandoned, seem to not be interested in hives where bees have disappeared.

What does this mean to us?
Well, apart from producing honey, bee's are also responsible for pollination, this means that if bees where to become extinct, our agriculture would be in danger! For example, Almond crop is 100% dependent on bee pollination and to put things into perspective, Albert Einstein has been quoted saying: "If bees disappeared...mankind would only have 4 years to live." Although the quote is questionable that Albert Einstein actually said it, this bee mystery should not be taken lightly.

Is this an End-Time prophecy?
There are some people who think that this mystery is an end-time prophecy and that Revelations 6 (focusing on verse 6) is of what is to come in the last days when the bees actually do disappear. I personally don't understand the verse? maybe someone can better explain this to me and why we have linked the disappearing bees to this verse. :)

Should we link the disappearing bees to Einstein's Quote and the Mayan Calender too? If we have four years left and the Mayan calender ends in 2012, should we be worried? ...I'm just rambling...

The Beautiful Sky

Isn't the night sky just beautiful!

Astronomy has always been near-and-dear to my heart. In school it was my favorite subject, and I always excelled whenever the subject was taught in class. I remember when my dad bought me my first (and sadly my only) telescope. He had bought it for me in a yard sale, ever since then I've become a nerd! Star charts, planets, moons, nebulae, galaxies, the Universe, I've studied them all and even today, I'm always up-to-date with recent discoveries, new theories, and anything related to astronomy.

The picture you see on the top of my blog, as my header, is a composite picture of the Helix Nebula taken with two different telescopes; one being The Hubble space telescope, and the other being an earthbound telescope called the Mosaic II.

The reason I chose this image was because it was one of the first things that I saw as a kid that attracted me to the night sky, and henceforth made me into a geek. The beautiful colors and shapes of the nebulae always made me gasp! These nebulae are incredibly beautiful unfortunately, the colors of the nebulae are not really true.

Interesting...

The Hubble telescope has many filters that can detect all wavelengths of light, including lights that are invisible to our eyes, such as infrared. The images that the Hubble snaps are beamed down to earth in Black and White (more like shades of gray). When combining all collected data, (light wavelengths) scientists begin to "color" the image, and at times assigning a color to the wavelengths that are invisible to us. Many vivify the colors and/or replace the colors to distinguish all the different elements that are in the nebula, or bring out the details. This means that if you were to look for a nebula in the night sky with a decent deeps space telescope, you would probably see "pasty" blue green, and maybe even red nebulae, which is quite disappointing for those amateur astronomers that look at a nebula with their own eyes for the first time.

To be fair, scientists say that the colors you see on the images would be what we would see were near the nebulae and our eyes were as sensitive as the Hubble's lens...gee!
